Piccaninny Creek, Bungle Bungles

Piccaninny Gorge can be accessed from Piccaninny car park on the south side of the very famous Bungle Bungle Range.
Located in the Purnululu National Park a few hours south on Kununurra in Western Australia, the Bungle Bungles are a must see while visiting the top end.
These orange and black striped beehive domes are not seen anywhere else in the surrounding area and are very unique and beautiful. Make sure you get here for sunrise or sunset, as the colour of the landscape changes every minute.
A truly magical place, and I am privileged to have been able visit the spot. A dedicated photography trip is now on the cards so I can really explore the area and capture it.

Purnululu Sunset

Purnululu National Park is located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, approximately 3000km by car from Perth City, 1000km from Darwin & only a short 200km hop from Kununurra. It is fair to say that Purnululu is a long way from civilisation, and as close to nature as you are going to get.
Purnululu is also famously known for the Bungle Bungle range that is located towards the south of the Park. These round domes have been carved out of the landscape over thousands of years and are a real spectacle to see. Access to the park is via the Great Northern Highway along a gravel road. You can only enter the park with a 4WD car, and it is highly advised to follow this instruction as the track would be challenging for a standard 2WD car.
There is a company at the beginning of the track that offer day trip tours into the national park for those that do not have a 4WD. This is great as no-one should miss out on seeing this amazing site.

Cathedral Gorge, Purnululu

A 106 image stitch of Cathedral Gorge. It is pretty surreal to just sit and listen in on wind passing through the gorge. Cathedral Gorge has been featured in a Qantas ad with the collaboration of the Australian Youth Choir and Australian Girls Choir singing here.

The gorge is located in the Purnululu National Park (aka Bungle Bungles) at Piccaninny Creek. Get there!
