Purnululu Sunset

Purnululu National Park is located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, approximately 3000km by car from Perth City, 1000km from Darwin & only a short 200km hop from Kununurra. It is fair to say that Purnululu is a long way from civilisation, and as close to nature as you are going to get.
Purnululu is also famously known for the Bungle Bungle range that is located towards the south of the Park. These round domes have been carved out of the landscape over thousands of years and are a real spectacle to see. Access to the park is via the Great Northern Highway along a gravel road. You can only enter the park with a 4WD car, and it is highly advised to follow this instruction as the track would be challenging for a standard 2WD car.
There is a company at the beginning of the track that offer day trip tours into the national park for those that do not have a 4WD. This is great as no-one should miss out on seeing this amazing site.
